Welcome to the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Training Hub
Our courses are designed to train those who are either working or would like to work in programs and organizations who are supporting survivors of gender-based violence.
If you’re working in an organization funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services or in an ally organization to OAITH you have free access to the courses.
For those who are not working in an affiliated organization we do charge an administration fee, however there is still some free content for everyone. Fees are subject to change and learners will be notified if this happens.
Core Course Administration Fee: 75.00 (+HST)
Supplemental Course Administration Fee: 30.00 (+HST)
Webinar and Videos: Free, unless otherwise indicated there is an administration fee
How To Register and Create An Account:
Creating an account is simple and it’s free to register an account by following these simple steps:
- Go to Account Settings and fill in the form.
- We strongly recommend signing up with your work email address if you’re working in an affiliated organization.
- When you receive the confirmation email, click on the link to authenticate your account. If you don’t authenticate your account your registration won’t be activated. All un-activated accounts will be removed within 3 months. You can always return and create a new account at any time.
- We do require learners to complete the Getting Started Survey after verifying your account to enable us to design courses that meet the needs of our learners. We don’t use any identifying information associated with your responses.
If you don’t have a work email address, follow these steps to get free access to all the Training Hub courses.
- Go to Account Settings and fill in the form using your personal email address.
- At course enrollment, you will be asked to select the organization you're affiliated with.
- Once you submit your registration, we will notify the primary contact in your organization to approve/verify your account from their portal.
What to know about our courses
Courses Are Self Paced:
All courses are self-paced, with some of them offered in French and English. They also include both text and audio features so that you can read and listen while you learn.
Certificates of Completion and Digital Badges:
Once you complete a course and learning evaluation you will receive a certificate of completion and a digital badge indicating the name of the course you’ve completed.

All courses have course outlines for you to view here that provide an overview of the learning outcomes, content and hours of online training that you will receive.
